As a final test, the University of Southern California formed a Special Medical Research Committee to transfer 16 critically ill patients from Pasadena County Hospital to Rife’s San Diego laboratory for treatment with his custom-built plasma tube.
After 90 days, the committee found that all but one of the patients had recovered. Following an adjustment to the treatment protocol, the last patient also responded positively, resulting in an eventual recovery rate of 100%.
